Our Story
While many dream of bringing changes, only a few has the determination and plans to bring the much desired changes through simple acts endorsed with compassion and kindheartednessthat brings a lasting and rippling effect all round. In the midst of prevalent capriciousness and lack of responsibility among many, Miss. Lenti Aier had a vision to bring about changes in the City based on the Principles of Christianity which she brought into being, along with few of her like-minded friends who actively became the Governing Members with her as the Founding President of the NGO called The Act Of Kindness Society in the year 2018. Instead of enhancing their expertise in blaming others, they chose to see themselves as a blessing which they were convinced to bring the much sought-after changes in simple ways and acts of kindness for the community and denizens of Dimapur City.
Persuaded with the notion “Act of Kindness” which might have been coined by Anne Herbert in the early 80’s, Lenti’s mission was to bring in like-minded people together, it was through Facebook under the banner “Smooth Ride For Dimapur”, her first mission gained impetus. In early June 2015, youths from various quarters endorsed her campaign. With the task much clear ahead she invited the bloggers to join this initiative. This was the beginning of bringing Act of Kindness into existence.

Success Stories
The Act of Kindness Movement (AOK) launched its first mission, "Smooth Ride for Dimapur," with the aim of repairing potholes across the city.
This initiative was embraced by numerous individuals and institutions, attracting young volunteers from all corners of the community. AOK’s mission goes beyond physical repairs; it seeks to stir the hearts of people, foster a sense of ownership and responsibility, and revive the dignity of labor.
AOK believes that by taking action, rather than blaming others, we can nurture our homeland in every way possible, cultivating a culture rooted in love. The movement collaborates with likeminded individuals and non-political groups, raising funds through voluntary donations to carry out essential projects, as determined by the core team members.
